Intensive Wax Jewellery Making Course (4 days)

Our intensive wax jewellery making course is a comprehensive guide to making jewellery from wax covering beginner to advanced techniques including how to mass produce your designs. You will be guided through a series of projects teaching different skills including etching, miniature sculpture, carving, texturing, experimental techniques, wax injection & mould making. There are many projects to work through and we can also incorporate designs based on images you have found on the web if desired.

Skills covered

• Techniques can include etching, miniature sculpture, carving, texturing, experimental techniques
• Mould making and wax injection for mass production (students to bring pinkysil silicone rubber and various objects to mould (jewellery, shells, insects etc).
• Create as many designs as we can cover in four sessions. We can split the days up as you like eg:
  • Wax work: Day 1-3,
  • Metal finishing: Day 4, or
  • Wax work: Day 1-2,
  • Metal finishing: Day 3-4, or
  • Wax work day 1-4 etc.
• This course will further expand your knowledge in your area of interest and open up your mind to the diversity of this remarkable process

• This course covers a very wide range of skills,
• After this course you will have the skills required to begin creating your own designs for your own brand.

Duration: 24hrs (4 x 6hr sessions or 6 x 4hr sessions) Dates arranged to suit individual and can be spread out over time with no expiration.

Availability: Group sessions Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays between 9am & 330pm

(class sizes are kept very small so sessions must be booked in advance. Sessions are available most weeks)
