Kids will learn how to plan and create a drawings on T-shirts using fabric markers

Create your own clothing designs and learn some essential drawing techniques along the way! This is a great introduction to drawing. The techniques are simple enough that kids will able to continue designing at home. Blank white clothing must be supplied by parents

Class Activity

• Learn how to create a simple cartoon sketch: Kids are welcome to bring their sketches to the studio. These can be of any characters they are interested in.
• Adapting a design for the T-shirt or other items of clothing : This is where we plan where the design is going, what size it has to be and making sure its proportions fit the t-shirt
• Learn how to create the design on the T-shirt: Kids will be shown how to create accurate lines and how to build up colour. The techniques allow for a slow and controlled progression to minimize and adjust to avoid mistakes along the way.

Take your creations with you

Everyone leaves with something! We make sure you take home at least one new piece of clothing

Note: Due to sizing difficulties, we do not supply T-shirts or clothing for drawings. Cheap garments can be easily bought from Kmart. Clothing must be white and comprised of cotton. Fixing fabric ink can be done at home with an iron.

Duration: 2 hours

Availability: Group sessions Tuesday, Fridays and Saturdays between 9am & 330pm
(class sizes are kept  small so sessions must be booked in advance. Sessions are available most weeks)
