Introduction to Wax Jewellery making

A solid foundation to get you started with essential skills necessary for developing your stone setting, carving and general jewellery design skills. You will even get an introduction to your very first stone setting!

There are so many skills to learn and directions you can go so I am careful not to overwhelm you whilst I show you different techniques, options, styles and aesthetics to help shed light and narrow down your decision of where you want to go next!

• An overview of the wax jewellery process
• You will create 3+ wax designs, each one covering a different essential skill
• Wax ring resizing
• Wax texturing and carving techniques
• Foundations for stone setting
• How to get your designs cast
• A brief introduction to stone setting

What next?

• You can learn jewellery finishing in our 2hr jewellery finishing session to finish your very first jewellery pieces!
• We can continue with ongoing sessions to learn your next desired skill!
• You can begin the Intensive Wax Jewellery Course covering a wide range of skills tailored to your interest, beginner to advanced including mould making, wax carving, sculpture and various experimental techniques.
• You can learn mould making  and discover the full potential of wax jewellery making by learning how to mass produce your designs, copy, modify & incorporate found objects and existing jewellery pieces into your own designs.

Duration: 3hrs

Price: $115  includes wall wax required and a stone for your very first setting!

Availability: This class runs multiple times per week on Tuesdays, Fridays, Saturdays between 8am & 3:30pm.  We offer a wide variety of course options so booking is essential. You can book your session time via email or phone before or after purchasing. (There is no expiration on any course purchased) Please note that refunds will incur a 10% service fee
