I start off with an insight into the design process, showing sketches leading up to the final concept and then I demonstrate the process of making the wax ring in full utilizing a two claw setting. This setting uses smaller stones than the previous design as well as utilizing a more complex setting method.

It is recommended you repeat this wax process two or more times in order to fully grasp the concept, overcome the associated complications and gain the required motor skills.

This technique will enhance your understanding of stone setting and you will be able to apply these principals to a range of different new aesthetics.

This exercise is suitable for the wax jeweller with moderate experience. If you are new to stone setting, I recommend first trying the Introduction to Claw Setting – Part 1- The Wax Process (70 mins)
